As President and owner of Carolina Home Mortgage I take great pride in a small business where I work for my clients, not the bank. As an independent broker I can offer rates lower than a retail bank, local service, and loan officers who live in and know their communities. You can find us doing business in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Apex, Pittsboro, Burlington, and Fayetteville, though we can do a loan for any Tarheel.
You can reach us at a local office or find we are ready to manage your loan electronically. We work with multiple lenders and shop the best rate to meet your circumstances, whether purchase or refinance. Please consider doing business with me. I have built my business on client referrals and repeat customers. In fact, over 25 percent of my business comes from loans for or referrals from past clients–a statistic I am very proud of.
A Brief Introduction
My wife and chief operating officer, Diane, keeps me on schedule. She is often spotted at headquarters with our security officer, Clarence Oddbody, a white bichon frise. We’ve been members of this community for nearly 30 years. My three daughters attended local schools. My eldest is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing and is currently touring the US as a travel nurse, and both of our younger children are pursuing their dreams to be dancers, one for the Oregon Ballet and one for the Charlotte Ballet.
Running this company for 18 years in Chapel Hill means I have to take care of my clients. A lot of them are my neighbors or fellow small business owners. We pride ourselves on our integrity, our close-knit organization, and our neighborliness. We like to imagine we are the old savings and loan on the corner, though a lot has changed in the past 18 years when it comes to getting a mortgage. It can be difficult to navigate and think through all the financing decisions. That’s where experience comes in. Let us give you the benefit of our experience and honesty. In fact, if I am not your best option, I will let you know.
